Bulletin Board.

A cup labeled with a heart is full of thumbtacks.
A few of the thumbtacks are on a corkboard.
Holding up pictures of people, and places,
Words, phrases, and paragraphs.
A string hangs from a loose thumbtack with a ring around it.
The ring no longer holds a finger.
The trashbin sits below the corkboard.
Full of old things forgotten or that want to be.
When that thumbtack falls, the stringed ring will fall to the bottom.
Losing everything it ever stood for.
When that moment comes despair will be lifted from a heart.
Longing, and desire will disappear from a mind.
And a soul will be open to find a mate.

  2. Lol. You bet. You probably don't get asked this but what inspires you to write? I see that your poems include a lot about objects and nature. Some true emotion behind what you write should be evident to the reader. Otherwise it will just be another piece of writing.....just some advice from one writer to the next. :)

  3. Yeah, all of my poems are inspired by true feelings. How I'm feeling at the moment, and which words appeal to me and feel right. I just connect them.

  4. I just realized that what I commented came across extremely rude. That wasn't my intentions at all. I'm sorry. I like your poems, so please just disregard what I said. Sorry again!
